Fourth week of production

Hello there,

fourth week of production and the game is starting to come together! We've got quite some eye candy in comparison to last week making Murderous Mutton look great in comparison to the previous weeks. If you are interested in our new look you'll love what our art team did this week.

But first! What did we programmers add this week.

Let's start!

We worked quite a bit on our UI this week. While last week the game greeted you with a bleak and boring Start screen we offer reworked Menus this week.
Also you can now use the menu using your Controller instead of your mouse.

A clear overview!

The In game UI also got some love this week. Adding 2 separate scores for sheep and farmer instead of 1 mixed score.

Finally some focus!

But we didn't stop at the UI. From this week on the camera is following the action! moving into the important parts of the game giving you an easier time focusing.

Gotta get rid of some.... stuff

Furthermore we added a limit on all drop off points in the game. Forcing sheep to dispose of bodies all over the map instead of focusing on 1 tiny area.

free... Free.... FREEEEEE!!!

Sitting in a pen, waiting to be freed is not much fun, is it? Of course not! Which is why you now can break out of the pen by dashing against it.

WHY ARE YOU RUNNING???

Also, don't think the tourists are gonna stay as stupid as they are. Now they are a little less stupid! Running around and focusing on different things when seeing dead bodies.

Everything's fine...

Aaaaaand that's about the gist of it! Aside from a hand full of bug fixes (which we of course didn't need, since we would never accidentally put bugs in our game ._.) and some quality of life improvements that's all from us programmers for this week.
Therefore lets dive into our art work!

First week into the second phase of production!
As Artists we mainly focused on getting most of the assets done, do a first light-pass and design some UI!

Lighting-Wise we're going for a very eerie atmosphere, set at dusk, to really get the dark humor in there.
Desaturating some colors even more will add to that feeling.

In contrast to the dark setting we have the quite 'happy' and cartoony UI and finally we have a proper title/logo.

Score-Counter for the farmer and sheep

While working on the UI, lighting and level-dressing, we also continued finishing up some more assets/smaller characters.

The scene has now even more farm elements, like silo's and derpy pigs!

They be judging you

Alright! That's gonna be everything for this week. The next 2 weeks we are gonna be on a break, so there most likely wont be any Updates :(.
Either way, we hope you liked what you saw today. Feel free to share your thoughts comments and feedback in the comments and see you in 2 weeks!
