Entering the polish-phase!

We're back on track now we're again working in the lightweight render pipeline of Unity!

Like the title says, we're entering the polish-phase, where we'll mainly focus on player feedback.

Everything we wanted to implement is in the game, now it's matter of tweaking to make the game look as good as possible. We tweaked some lighting again, unfortunately this render pipeline in Unity doesn't allow us to add nice fog, but we're looking into a plugin that might help us out with that. We added  blood-decals,  added some more particles & implemented the final animations.

Some more particles that will help with player feedback:

Mom says it's my turn to play xbox

That was it! The game is slowly starting to look finished, next weeks we'll mainly focus on some more light-tweaking, sound & player feedback.

As for the programming part of the game, we tweaked and fixed a lot of stuff. First of all, we had to revert back to the old pipeline which we managed to do succesfully.

We added some extra sounds into the game, like bumping into stuff and dashing. We also fixed the camera so it doesn't zoom in after everyone joined, and now it zooms in and out properly.

The tourists have animations now, so they can walk and arent just T-posing for their lives.

We also had to place some invisible walls so you cant fall out of the map anymore, yes you know who you are. Next to that, we made grabbing the bodies of tourists easier as well as picking up the sheep. Furthermore we added a blood trail when you drag tourists around so after a while the level will be covered in blood, hehehe.

And the last thing we did this week was an upgrade of our lobby so you have an easier time knowing which player you are in game.

So that's it for this week of our project. Once again, stay healthy and don't die. See you next week!
